Casa Otto
Casa Otto sits on the western slope of the island, angled to catch the long afternoon light that Ibiza is famous for. The brief was straightforward: a house for a family that spends summers here and wanted every room to feel connected to the outdoors without sacrificing privacy from the road above.
The ground floor is essentially one continuous space — kitchen, dining, living ,divided by material shifts rather than walls. Polished concrete underfoot gives way to wide-plank oak where the living area begins. The kitchen island is a slab of local limestone, honed smooth, with open shelving in whitewashed steel behind it. Everything is touchable and meant to age.
Upstairs, the bedrooms are wrapped in lime-washed plaster that changes colour throughout the day — pale grey in the morning, almost pink by sunset. Linen curtains replace doors on the wardrobes. The primary bathroom uses the same limestone as the kitchen island, carried up into a full wet room with a concrete trough sink and brass fixtures that are already developing a patina.
